Its inhabitants are affectionately known as “Garbage People”, because they have been sustaining themselves for decades as Cairo’s unofficial sanitation crew. The Garbage People, comprising mostly Coptic Christians, first immigrated to Cairo in the 1930s in search of big city dreams and land under their feet. Being very poor, and without a solid 401k plan, they got by whatever way they could: living in makeshift housing and recycling the city’s compostable waste products by feeding it to their pigs. Today, Cairo’s Garbage People make ends meet by going door to door to pick up people’s trash for a nominal fee, which is then brought back to their Garbage City neighborhoods. There, they sort and recycle everything they could, using it for their own manufacturing. Synagogue Ben Ezra Ben Ezra Synagogue used to be a Christian place of worship by the name of El-Shamieen Church and according to a legend, the building was built on the exact spot where Moses was found as a baby in his basket. However, when the Coptic Christians owning it weren’t able to pay the annual taxes imposed by the Muslim rulers any longer, they had to sell the church. It was sold to Abraham Ben Ezra, who purchased the building in 882 AD for 20,000 dinars and turned it into a Jewish

Children Policy
Children under 2 years of age can travel free of charge with their parents.
From 2 to 5.99 years old: 25% of the adult price
From 6 to 11.99 years old: 50% of the adult price
Children aged 12 and over travel at the same fare as adults.
The children’s policy applies to children who share a room with their parents. If your trip includes a flight ticket, additional fees for your children may apply.
Payment Policy
Reservations should be made as early as possible to book the desired Nile cruise, spaces will be secured upon receiving a deposit of 25 %, and during the Christmas and New Year holidays, the required deposit is 50%. This deposit forms part of your final payment. Deposits can only be made by credit cards, wire transfer and or the Western Union.
Tipping
It is a customary attitude for expressing one’s satisfaction of good services rendered to him by staff on duty with him. We advise if you are willing to offer it, this would be great and if not, you are not obliged to do it.
Cancellation Policy
The full amount of the cruise will be charged if cancellation is received less than 30 days prior to check-in date.
50% of the whole cruise amount will be charged if cancellation is received 60 to 31 days prior to check-in date.
15 % of the whole cruise amount will be charged if cancellation is received from 90 to 61 days prior to check-in date.
Full refund of payment will be given if cancellation is received before 91 days prior to check-in date.
